Baby Bedding and Nursery Brand
I started off working a graphic designer in a publishing, printing, ladies fashion (Long Tall Sally) and now in a baby company, Junior Joy. Before I got the job, I had an interest in marketing and explore further. Working at Junior Joy gave me the opportunity to learn how to reach out to the customers by exhibiting at baby shows, creating newsletters, informing mums on our cotton products, getting social on facebook, twitter and instagram. I now have started blogging to share my experiences which I am really enjoying. Since I became pregnant I have more of an understanding about being a new mum.
Baby Bedding range, Moses Basket, Cot and Cot Bed Sheets
When I started the job I wanted to have a better knowledge of the Junior Joy range and what the products are used for. Having no idea about baby and nursery products as I wasn’t a mum it took longer to grasp. I was first introduced to the baby bedding range, Junior Joy’s fitted and flannelette sheets. The first thing that popped in my head; Do babies need sheets and why are there different sizes? After been explained to there are cotton fitted sheets and flannelette sheets.
The fitted sheets are normal sheets which we sleep on, then the flannelette sheets which are brushed cotton. I felt the flannelette sheets and they are so soft I could literally wrap myself in them. Babies need an extra layer at night time especially on those wintry cold nights. (wish they did them in adult size)The baby bedding range comes in 4 different sizes, Moses Basket, Pram, Cot and Cot bed. Embarrassed to say, I didn’t know there were a difference between a cot and cot bed. Also some prams require sheets too.
Moses Basket & Cribs
Once the baby has been born I will initially leave my Moses Basket in the living room for our baby to sleep on during the day. Then at night I will be laying the baby in a small crib which will be placed next to my bed.
Cot or Cot Bed?
After meeting mums, I found its more beneficial to invest in a cot bed. Yes is does cost more, but after your grows you will need to lay them on a bed. Once our baby turns between 4-6 months I will lay him or her in the cot bed with all 4 sides up so it looks like a cot and off course will be buying the Junior Joy cot bed sheets in white. After the baby has out grown the cot, we will be taking one side off to turn the cot into a cot bed. This way we will have saved money on buying a bed.
