Yoga classes, East Finchley
Before I started trying for a baby I wanted to get into shape by eating properly, drinking plenty of water and exercising. I wanted to get back into Yoga as it will strengthen my muscles, breathing techniques, release stress and improve immunity. When I was living in North London I went to Virgin Active gym in Mill Hill and practised yoga there which was great. After a while I stopped going to the gym as I was looking to improve my yoga in a private class.
I was on the hunt for a new yoga teacher, then I met Nayrobi Vora from InhaleForOm. We met after one of her yoga classes in East Finchley and had a chat about how I wanted to build on my yoga. She gave me great advice on how yoga will help me and most importantly to continue yoga during pregnancy. After going to one of her classes which I thoroughly enjoyed, I decided to sign up to her weekly classes.
What I liked about her classes she scented the room with Lavender incense and oils to set the ambience, made me feel calm and relaxed. During her classes she really paid attention to her students making sure the were bending correctly and were in the correct pose. If you were struggling with certain poses she would come and gently adjust you. My favourite poses are the Warrior, Cat pose and Tree Pose. At the end of the class which is usually my favourite part is when we all lay down on our backs (Śavāsana) and close ours eyes, ready for relaxation. While we are laying down in relaxation she give us a gentle head massage on our temples. I love this part!
